Detailed Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 – Stay overnight in Xi’an
To begin the tour, our tour guide and driver will meet you at your Xi’an Hotel Lobby. We’d recommend a 9:00 am meeting time but because it’s a private tour, this can be flexible so please advise your preferences. Thereafter, depart for the Terracotta Army, which is located on the outskirts of Xi’an City.
The Terracotta Army Museum, often called the Eighth wonder of the world and largest on-site archaeological museum in China. Explore the vase excavation pit filled with thousands of live -sized Terracotta Warriors and Horses that were made over 2,000 years ago for Emperor Qinshihuang. Your professional guide will explain the history and fascinating stories behind the soldiers, helping you appreciate why this is considered the highlights of any trip to Xi’an.
After touring the museum, enjoy a lunch break (meal not included). Your guide will recommend local restaurants and help you choose dishes based on your personal preferences – whether you want authentic Shaanxi noodles, dumplings, or other regional specialties.
Following lunch, we’ll visit a local Workshop and make a miniature Terracotta Warrior for yourself to take home. After that, travel to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda for a short walking tour. The Big Wild Goose Pogoda is one of Xi’an most famous ancient buildings. It is a Tang dynasty Buddhism temple with a history dating back over 1,300 years. Our guide will also explain some historical facts about the pagoda and take you for a short walk to help you to find the best spot to take photos of the pagoda.
Follow the visit to the pagoda, We will drop you off at your Xi’an hotel to conclude the day, but if you’re not ready to call it a night and would like to enjoy more activities, you can stay at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to watch the famous Musical Fountain Show, explore the nearby Datang Everbright City with its lively Tang-style streets and cultural performances, visit Tang Paradise for beautiful lakeside scenery and evening shows, or enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants nearby. Please note that you will need to take a taxi back to your hotel afterward, or the driver can wait for you for an additional overtime service fee.




Day 2 – Stay overnight in Xi’an/END OF TOUR
In the morning, your professional tour guide and driver will meet you at your Xi’an hotel around 9:00 am. Your first stop is a lively local morning market, where you’ll experience authentic daily life in Xi’an. You will also enjoy five tastings of traditional Xi’an snacks — an ideal way to explore the city’s food culture.
After the market visit, you’ll be driven to the Jingdi Tomb at Hanyangling Museum, located about 40mins away from the city. This remarkable archaeological site is the joint burial place of Emperor Jingdi and Empress Wangzhi and dates back more than 2,100 years. As China’s only fully underground museum, Hanyangling offers a unique look at Han Dynasty history, featuring thousands of excavated figurines, restored burial pits, and fascinating cultural relics. It’s a must-visit for anyone interested in ancient Chinese history and archaeology.
After visiting the Hanyangling Museum, you’ll enjoy lunch at local restaurant on your own costs.
Thereafter, you will visit Xi’an Ancient City Wall. This incredible city wall has protected Xi’an from invaders for over 600 years since it was first constructed. It’s the best preserved and most complete wall that has survived throughout China’s long history. The entire length of the wall is over 13 kilometers around the city and visitors can choose to cycle, walk or even board a golf cart shuttle to sight-see and experience life along Xi’an’s City Wall.
In the afternoon, visit Shuyuanmen Culture Street . ContiIn the afternoon, visit Shuyuanmen Cultural Street, a charming traditional lane known for its calligraphy studios, handicraft shops, and historic atmosphere. You will then continue your visit exploring the Muslim Quarter – a small area of Xi’an particularly renowned for it’s local snacks and souvenirs.
Finish your two-day Xi’an tour with a visit to the vibrant Muslim Quarter, famous for its street food, culture, and lively atmosphere. After the visit, you’ll be transferred back to your Xi’an hotel, or we can arrange a drop-off at Xi’an Airport or Xi’an Railway Station for your evening departure (additional fee).
