What is Yangshuo Park?
Located in the west of Yangshuo, Yangshuo Park was originally built in 1915. Its original name – Shouyang Park comes from the Shouyang Hill (Green Lotus Hill). Many locals love to relax them in the park.

What to expect at Yangshuo Park
Yangshuo Park is dotted with sweet-scented osmanthus trees. Between the mid-October and the late October, refreshing fragrance spread around the park.
Shuangyue Creek runs over the park. A lake with lotus makes the park more beautiful in June when the lotus is in blossom. There are 3 hills and 4 caves in the park. Solitary Beauty Hill stands in the east of the park. With a height of 100 meters, it looks like a bamboo shoot. Fanghe Pavilion is located on the hillside.

Xilang Hill was formerly called Screen Hill as its shape is similar to a screen. A 10-meters-tall rock is located on the northern hillside. It looks like a man who faces the west and makes a bow with hands folded in front. The Chinese characters of Xilang (西朗) is carved on the wall. There are also inscriptions of the poem of “Xilang Hill” on the wall created in the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). The Lying Cloud Pavilion on the top offers the panoramic views of Yangshuo. You could enjoy the amazing sunset at the pavilion as well.
Chunlei Courtyard is an antique structure located north of Zhongling Hill. Bamboo forests grow there. A variety of bonsai is also one of the highlights in the courtyard.
Local elders usually do morning exercises in the park. You may see them practising Tai Chi or playing the Zipai Card which is long and very popular among locals.
Best time to visit Yangshuo Park
If you’re interested to experience the local life, the best time to visit is in the morning. If you’d like to visit the park for photography purposes, the best time to visit is at sunset.
The best months to visit are from April to October.
How to get to Yangshuo Park
Yangshuo Park is located approximately 5-10 x minutes walk from the West Street and there is no direct bus from Yangshuo and Guilin.
Therefore, you could walk to the park after visiting the West Street or rent a vehicle to the park from Guilin directly.
