What are the Best time to Visit Yangshuo?
Are you curious about the best time to visit Yangshuo? Yangshuo experiences a subtropical monsoon climate. It is hot in summer while it drizzles a lot during winter between December to March. It is also cold from November to the mid-March. The monsoon season is usually from late April until late June. Generally, the best time to visit Yangshuo is from April to October. Yangshuo offers numerous interesting things to do including the following Yangshuo attractions and best things to do.
The Li River Cruise runs from Guilin to Yangshuo for around 90 kilometers. The most breathtaking section is located in Yangshuo countryside. The karst hills along the river present different appearance.
- Big boat operating daily
The big boat departs at Guilin pier in the morning and ends at Yangshuo pier in the afternoon. If you don’t like to take a car to Yangshuo from Guilin but would like to enjoy the views on the way, the big boat is an ideal option. It lasts for nearly 4 hours. In addition, people of all ages are allowed to take it.
- Private motorized raft
Private motorized raft is proper for those who want to have their own privacy. It takes you to appreciate the most stunning views of the Li River. You could enjoy the natural frescoes on the wall of the hills, such as nine-fresco hills and more. However, the pregnant women, children under 1.2m tall and the elder above 65 years old are not allowed to take the raft.

Yulong River & Yulong Valley
The Yulong River Valley has stunning landscape in Yangshuo. In the early April, fields in the area are always covered with golden rape flowers. When it rains a little, fog flows around the karst hills and over the fields.
You will feel that you are in the fairyland. In summer, if interested, you could enjoy swimming in the Yulong River with local children. You could take a bamboo raft to admire the natural beauty of the valley or ride a bike or just walk around the area with your foot. The Impression 3rd Sister Liu Show is very popular among Chinese domestic and foreign audience. It’s held each evening in Yangshuo along the banks of the Li River and sometimes offers multiple evening shows. The background of the 12 karst hills and the stage of the 2-kilometers-long Li River offer you a unique feast for eyes.
You will get a little acquainted with the local cormorant fishing culture, custom of Zhuang people and bamboo rafting culture.

If you are keen on enjoying the sunset, Cuiping Hill is a great choice. In addition, you could be amazed at the karst hills standing in the distance. During the sunset, they are always decorated with golden sunshine, making for an ideal background for photographing. Fields at the foot of the hill are covered with a variety of colorful corps.
If Cuiping Hill is great for appreciating the sunset, Xianggong Hill offers gorgeous sunrise. On the very early morning of sunny days, clouds around are covered with golden sunlight while the Li River winds through the bottom of the hill. After the sun rises, the clouds spread out and you will enjoy the bird’s eye of the Li River.
