Located 24 kilometers from the heart of the City of Guiyang, Tianhe Pool Scenic Area offers amazing karst landscape, local customs and a variety of entertainment activities to enjoy.

What to expect at the Tianhe Pool Scenic Area
Tianhe Pool Scenic Area offers several waterfalls, underground waterfalls in the caves, underground rivers, underground lakes, cenotes, cliffs and valleys to explore.
After entering the gate of the scenic area, the Sun Square will come into sight. The square in the style of ethnic minorities shows ethnic culture. The floor is decorated with the patterns of auspicious clouds. The four beacons are respectively decorated with four natural elements: wind, fire, water and earth, which symbolize the harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature.
Guiyang Story Street was built in the style of the Republic of China (1912 – 1949). The buildings there reflect the civil culture of old Guiyang, courtyard culture and culture of mansion houses. In the street, you could experience the most simple and original lifestyle of Guiyang, and try the local authentic snacks.
The Wolong Waterfall is more than 20 meters wide and more than 10 meters high. The Wolong Waterfall and the Wolong Lake in the upper reaches look like a water dragon. In rainy season, water pours down from the beachhead, creating magnificent views.
The Kongling Cave is a water cave at the area. You can enjoy boating to appreciate stalactites, stalagmites and stone pillars in the cave. It is about 1200 meters long with the widest point of more than 80 meters. The highest point on the top is more than 50 meters tall.
As a dry cave, the Galaxy Palace is a 3-layer cave. It has a total length of nearly 2,000 meters. There is a natural stone bridge in the cave, the Naihe Bridge, which spans over two cliffs in the cave. Under the bridge is a pool. You will see stalactites in various shapes in the cave. The more famous ones are: “Monkeys Fish the Moon”, “Scripture Library”, and “Once in a Thousand Years”, “Spring Manchu” and so on.
As it always takes several hours to explore the area, it is recommended that you visit it in the morning.
The best months to visit are from April to October.
You could take Bus 211 to the Stop of Tianhe Pool (天河潭站) from Guiyang or rent a vehicle to the area from Guiyang directly.

- As at 5th October 2020, the pass ticket for entrance to Tianhe Pool Scenic Area, Shanshui Waterfalls (山水瀑布), Kongling Cave, boating in Kongling Cave, Galaxy Palace, round-trip shuttle bus and insurance is 82 CNY per person; the elder above 60 years old (60 years old included) are charged 75 CNY per person; children between 1.2m tall (1.2m tall included) and 1.4m tall (1.4m tall not included) are charged 62 CNY per person. The pass ticket for entrance to Tianhe Pool Scenic Area, Shanshui Waterfalls (山水瀑布), Kongling Cave, boating in Kongling Cave, Galaxy Palace, and insurance is 52 CNY per person; children under 1.2m tall (1.2m tall not included) are free of charge. - After entering the gate of the area, you could take the shuttle bus to Kongling Cave for boating tour. Then, walk in the Galaxy Cave. It takes one hour walk to explore the cave.
