What to expect at Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall is 77.8 meters tall and 101 meters wide. Water falls down into the Rhinoceros Pond at the foot of the waterfall, making thunder-like sounds. You can admire the waterfall from six directions, the front, the back, the left, the right, the top, and the bottom of the waterfall. You’ll get different views.

With a length of 134 meters, the Water Curtain Cave behind the water offers stunning stalactites and stalagmites in different appearances. It has 6 windows, 5 halls, 3 springs and 6 passages. Looking at the entrance to the cave, the flying water is like large white-snow ribbon stretching down to the ground. If it is sunny, you may see the breathtaking rainbows spanning over Rhinoceros Pond at the cave.

Tianxingqiao Scenic Area consists of Tianxingpen, Tianxing Cave and a stone forest on the water. The area is dotted with a variety of plantations. Tianxingpen features natural rocks and water-stone bonsai to enjoy. The stones there have different appearances, a comb, panda hugs the bamboo, a flying eagle and so forth. More surprisingly, cactus and small shrubs grow in the stone forest, adding more vitality to it. After visiting the stone forest, you can explore the Yinlianzhuitan Waterfall and Xingxia Waterfall close to the forest.

Doupotang Waterfall is the largest at the Huangguoshu Waterfall. If the water currents are not large, the water is very white. In rainy season, the water will be muddy due to the mud at the upper reaches flown into the water. But the large water currents in rainy season make great sounds just like the thunder.
