Day 5 – Stay overnight in Shanghai

Detailed Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 – Arrival in Beijing/Stay overnight in Beijing
Upon arrival at Beijing International Airport, our friendly private driver will greet you with your name sign and take you for to your centrally located downtown hotel. You will spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Beijing on your own.
If interested in the evening activities, you may consider adding an optional cultural experiences, such as the high-energy Kung Fu Show, the colorful Peking Opera, or the thrilling acrobatic performances. For Food lovers, you can experience a fun Hutongs Food Tour by Tuk Tuk or enjoy an unforgettable Beijing Gongyan Imperial Banquet Dining experience that transports you back to the ancient dynasties, where you can dine like a royal guest while enjoying traditional singing and dancing performances and savoring delicious local cuisine.
Day 2 – Stay overnight in Beijing
Start your day by enjoying a panoramic view of the Forbidden City from Jingshan Park. Next, explore the historic Beijing Old Hutongs with a short Hutong rickshaw ride through the charming Hutong alleys, followed by a relaxing coffee or tea break at a local café to soak in the Hutong atmosphere. You will also stop for photos outside the Beijing Drum Tower and explore the nearby area before enjoying a classic Peking Duck lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the iconic Tian’anmen Square which is the heart of Beijing and one of the largest public squares in the world. You will also explore the majestic Forbidden City. also known as the Imperial Palace, served as the home of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its magnificent palaces, grand courtyards, intricate architecture, and rich collections of cultural relics. The day concludes with a return to your hotel, or you can continue exploring Beijing on your own.



Day 3 – Stay overnight in Beijing
Begin your day with a visit to a local Beijing park to experience the city’s vibrant morning culture, watching residents practice tai chi, dancing, and traditional exercises. Continue to the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire the stunning Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. Your guide will explain the temple’s historical importance as a place where emperors prayed for good harvests.
After exploring the Temple of Heaven, you’ll drive to the Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, (approximately 1.5 hours), one of the best-preserved and less crowded areas of this iconic landmark. Enjoy a simple lunch nearby before exploring the Great Wall itself. To maximize time and sightseeing options on the Great Wall, you’ll take a Chairlift up to the Great Wall and have a fun Toboggan ride down from the wall. As you walk along the Wall, your guide will share stories about its history, construction and significance in China’s history. You’ll have ample time to enjoy the breathtaking views and walk along the ancient structure, discovering firsthand the history of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Following your day at the Great Wall, return transfer to your hotel for evening at leisure.



Day 4 – Beijing to Shanghai – Summer Palace & High-Speed Train Transfer
Today begins with a pick-up from your Beijing Hotel and transfer to the Summer Palace – one of Beijing’s most iconic sites known for its stunning landscapes and imperial history. With your guide, you will explore the vast palace grounds and serene lake area, immersing yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. Your tour guide will share insights into the history of the palace, its role in the Qing Dynasty and the various architectural wonders within the grounds, including the famous Long Corridor and Marble Boat.
After your visit, either enjoy a relaxing lunch at a nearby restaurant before your train departure for Shanghai. You will be transferred to the Beijing West Railway Station, where your guide will assist you.
Board the high-speed train to Shanghai, a journey which takes approximately 4.5 to 5 hours, allowing passengers to relax and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel to check in, marking the end of your travels for the day. Evening at leisure in Shanghai.


Day 5 – Stay overnight in Shanghai
Begin your day with a guided Shanghai city walk along Shanghai’s North Bund, taking in historic architecture and modern landmarks, followed by a visit to Lujiazui and a local ferry ride across the Huangpu River to admire the impressive Pudong skyline. Enjoy a late lunch at a 1-Star Michelin restaurant, savoring exquisite Shanghai cuisine. Day 6 – Shanghai/END OF TOUR
On your final day in Shanghai, meet your private tour guide and explore the charming French Concession, wandering through Tianzi Fang with its artistic alleys, boutique shops, cafés, and preserved Shikumen architecture. Continue to the historic Zhujiajiao Water Town, where you can enjoy a short food tour sampling local snacks for lunch and take a boat ride along the canals, experiencing the traditional water-town atmosphere.
