What is the Xiangyu Forest Park?
Xiangyu Forest Park is located in the north of the Qinling Mountains, under the Guanyin Mountain in Dongda Town, Chang'an District, Xi'an. It is 36.9 kilometers from Xi'an. With an area of more than 30 square kilometers, the park is the only private park in Shaanxi. It offers a variety of plants and wildlife with a forest coverage of more than 95%.

What to expect at the Xiangyu Forest ParkXiangyu Forest Park offers 9 waterfalls with different shapes, valleys and old trees. It has seasonal variation in appearance. In spring, it is decorated with a variety of wild flowers; in summer, the greens offer a cool surrounding for visitors; in autumn, golden leaves spread around the park and fruits are on the trees; in winter, it is covered with snow, creating stunning views. Apart from the nature, visitors can also discover the ancient temples in the Ming (1368 - 1644) or Qing (1644 - 1912) Dynasties in the valley.

Xiangyu Forest Park is home to more than 200 species of wildlife, including over 160 species of birds, more than 70 species of beasts and so on. If lucky enough, visitors can encounter golden monkeys, antelope, leopard, mountain sheep, forest musk deer, golden pheasant, etc.
If interested, visitors can experience the outdoors activities, such as rock climbing, ziplining, cycling, fishing, swimming, barbecue and so on. The park offers a leisure section and an exploration section to meet the hobbies and choices of different groups of people.
The guardrails are installed in dangerous places in these sections, and more than 90 sets of benches, tables and 6 small dining spots are placed in various places according to the distance and terrain.

Best time to visit the Xiangyu Forest Park
The best time to visit Xiangyu Forest Park is in the morning as it is not hot during its opening hours. The best months to visit are from March to May, and from September to October.
How to get to the Xiangyu Forest Park
As Xiangyu Forest Park is privately owned, the transportation network around it is undeveloped. Therefore, there are only a few options.
- Rent a vehicle from Xi’an. This is the quickest and most direct option.
- Take Bus 4-08 from Xi’an to the Stop of Xiangyu Senlin Gongyuan (祥峪森林公园)

- Opening hours: 08:00 - 17:00

- Visitors can take the shuttle bus at the ticket office to the mountain gate for an additional fee of 10 CNY per person.
- If you enjoy hiking, it is recommended that you hike up to the top of the mountain.
- Please wear comfortable hiking shoes.
