Xi’an Museum sits in the Beilin District, within central Xi’an, making it easy to combine with nearby cultural sites.
Getting there:
✅ Metro + walk: Take Xi’an Metro Line 2 (or Line 5 according to some sources) to Nanshaomen Station (南稍门站). Then walk west (about 5–10 minutes) to reach Xi’an Museum / the north gate of the nearby ancient temple grounds.
🚍 Bus + walk: There are several bus routes that stop near the museum. For example, you can take bus 18, 203, 204, 218, 229, 258, 407, or 410 and get off at Xiajiazhuang Station; then walk north to the museum gate.
Alternately, some buses (e.g. 18, 21, 29, 32, 40, 46, etc.) stop at Xiaoyanta Station (small wild goose pagoda area), which is also within walking distance of the museum.
