Xiamen Music Square - a paradise for art & music lovers in Xiamen

With an area of 5 hectares, Xiamen Music Square is located on South Ring-Island Road between Zeng Cuo’an and Baishi Battery. The square is themed on distinctive Fujian Nanyin music. In addition, you’ll see a variety of sculptures there.

What to expect at Xiamen Music SquareXiamen Music Square has an unique landmark of white sails near the sea. Some street singers like to play music and sing songs under the sails. You’ll find monuments for the 4th World Choir Games. They introduces some of the significant facts on the event held in Xiamen from the 15th to 26th of July, 2006. Sculptures of music instruments, related words and pictures introduce them vividly.
Xiamen Music Square is adjacent to the sea. Overlooking from the Fujian Nanyin Music Bridge, the beach with pebbles is flat. When sea waves touch them, a kind of refreshing sound is generated. At the beach, you can see the dim bird’s eye view of Kinmen Island across the straits. The wooden boardwalk at the beach offers another type to appreciate the music square. Xiamen Music Square is also popular among the newlyweds to take wedding dress photos. You may encounter one or two couples there. The square is also a good point to admire Xiamen Twin Towers at the other end of the straits. If you are a little tired, you can just sit on the wooden bench, listen to the sounds of sea waves and enjoy the sea view. In addition, you are able to enjoy the stunning sunrise at the square if you can get up very early. |

How to get to Xiamen Music Square
A few buses pass by the square. Thus, there are just a few buses.
- Rent a vehicle to the square. This is the quickest and most direct option.
- Take Bus 47, 29, or Bus 751 to the Stop of Zengshan (曾山站)
