White Pagoda Mountain is located in the White Pagoda Park on the north side of Zhongshan Bridge in Lanzhou City. There are Jincheng Pass and Yudie Pass at the foot of the mountain, both of which are ancient military fortresses. The mountain was named after the White Pagoda originally built in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368). The existing pagoda was rebuilt between 1450 and 1457.

The White Pagoda Mountain was turned into a park in 1958. The total construction area on the mountain is more than 8,000 square meters. The buildings on the mountain offer red columns. The buildings are connected by pavilions and corridors. The old buildings on the mountain include the Fenglin Xiangniao Archway, the Arhat Hall, and the Sanxing Hall. The old buildings on the top of the mountain include the Samsung Hall and the Yingxu Guest House.
In addition, visitors can explore various kinds of pavilions, Huang River Unique Stone in the park. At the top of the mountain, you could enjoy the panoramic views of Huang River. At the White Pagoda, there is a bronze bell weighing 153.5 kilograms. The bell was casted between 1662 and 1772.
The best time to visit White Pagoda Mountain is in the morning during the opening hours.
The best months to visit are from April to October.
There are several buses passing by the mountain. Therefore, there are several options.
- Rent a vehicle to the museum. This is the quickest and most direct option.
- Take Bus 20, 35, 53, 100 and Bus 131 to the Stop of Baitashan Park (白塔山公园站).
- Take Bus 9, 11, 15, 26, 34 and Bus 136 to the Stop of Huanghe Tieqiao (黄河铁桥站).
- Opening hours: 06:30 – 20:00 (April 20 – October 31); 07:00 – 19:00 (November 1 – April 19).

- As at 16th October 2020, the entrance pricing to the one-way chairlift up to the hillside is 35 CNY per person; the entrance pricing to the one-way chairlift down to foot of the mountain is 25 CNY per person; the entrance pricing to the round-trip chairlift is 45 CNY per person.
