The water surface works as the stage of the water puppet show. Puppet performers standing behind the bamboo curtain in the water and holding the puppets in hand, the puppets float on the water. They operate the puppets through bamboo poles and thin solid lines to make them do a series of actions, such as jumping, rowing and rolling over. Water Puppet Show has a long history of around 1,000 years. It originates from the Red River Delta.
