What to expect at the War Remnants Museum

The War Remnants Museum is composed of the outdoor exhibition area and the indoor exhibition area. The outdoor one offers some weapons and war equipment, such as tanks, helicopters, machine guns, a variety of gas bombs, etc.

 

The materials in the indoor area are touching. The malformed children in formalin denounce the crime that the American army applied the Agent Orange in the 1960s and 1970s which caused the malformation in Vietnam. The pictures show the cruelty of the American army during the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese people were tied together. A girl knelt and begged for the freedom. The pictures there reflect the cruelty of the war. You could also get a little acquainted with the My Lai Massacre through the materials. The 3-storey museum is very popular among the American tourists. The interpretation for the exhibits are in Vietnamese, Chinese and English.

The best time to visit the museum is in the morning as it is not so hot.

The best months to visit are from April to October.

There is no direct bus to the museum. You could rent a vehicle.

  • Opening hours: 07:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 18:00 (Visitors are not permitted to enter the museum from 17:30)
