1. Longji Rice Terraces

The Longji Rice Terraces are located approximately 22 x kilometers from Longsheng County. This scenic area is composed of the following rice terraces:

  • Longji Zhuang Village Rice Terraces;
  • Ping’an Rice Terraces; and
  • Jinkeng Rice Terraces.

2. Longji Zhuang Village Rice Terraces

The Longji Rice Terraces are situated some 22 kilometers from Longsheng County. It is composed of Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces, Ping’an Zhuang Rice Terraces and Jinkeng Rice Terraces.

3. Ping’an Rice Terraces

Compared to the other two areas, the Ping’an Rice Terraces are the most developed with buildings (including hotels etc.) at the peak of the village itself. Located around 40 minutes hike from Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces, it offers two viewpoints to enjoy the bird’s eye view of the rice terraces which are as follows:

  • Seven Stars with the Moon Viewpoint
  • Nine Dragons & Five Tigers Viewpoin

From mid August to mid September, rice is turning golden. You will be amazed at the stunning view at the two viewpoints.

4. Jinkeng Rice Terraces

The Jinkeng Rice Terraces have been a settlement for the Red Yao ethnic minority for hundreds of years. There are 4 viewpoints to explore. Among them, the Viewpoint of Golden Buddha Peak offers the gorgeous sunset.

​If you don’t like to hike to the viewpoint, you could take a cable car at Dazhai Village at the foot of the mountain. You could admire the sunrise at the Viewpoint of Music from Paradise. ​The villages of Dazhai, Tiantouzhai and Xiaozhai are located at the Jinkeng Rice Terraces Scenic area.

5. Longji Zhuang Village
Situated on the mountain in Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces, the Longji Zhuang Village is more than 430 years old. It has the most complete, oldest and largest wooden building complex with Zhuang Ganlan Style in Guangxi and even around China. It offers five preserved old wooden buildings with a long history of more than 100 years. Among them, the oldest is more than 250 years old. One of the most popular experiences among Wendy Wei Tours’ clients is a traditional meal at a local Zhuang ethnic minority family’s house.

6. Longsheng Hot Springs National Park
Longsheng Hot Spring National Forest Park is situated some 32 kilometers northeast of Longsheng County. It takes around 2 hours drive from Guilin. You could soak yourself in the spring to be refreshed after a long journey. ​The spring includes more than ten types of microelements, such as lithium, strontium, iron, zinc, copper and more. In addition, you could walk in the woods.

7. Yanmenxia Valley Drifting
Yanmenxia Valley lies in the Longsheng Hot Spring National Forest Park. It is about 10 kilometers long and is a white water rafting course. It is hidden among the green forests and only open during the summer months of the year. During the drifting, you will enjoy birds singing. Luckily, you may find monkeys jumping in the trees. The drifting lasts for around 60 minutes.
8. Sanmen Red Yao Village
Acclaimed as an “Ecological Museum”, the Sanmen Red Yao Village is home to red Yao people. The historical and cultural traditions of Red Yao from social production to social life remain unchanged for hundreds of years. At the village, you will get acquainted with its mysterious legendaries, enjoy the folk singing and dancing and other exciting activities.

9. Huangluo Yao Village
The Huangluo Yao Village is known as the ‘long-haired village’ and is located on the way to the Ping’an Rice Terraces. This particular village is home to the Yao Ethnic Minority people who nowadays hold daily performances to show tourists their cultures, customs and long hair! ​A visit to the Huangluo Yao Village is a popular choice for travelers visiting Guilin and the Longji Rice Terraces Scenic area.
10. Datang Bay Scenic Area
Datang Bay Cottage is the only comprehensive sightseeing place where the folk customs, folk customs and food culture of all ethnic minorities in Longsheng County are gathered. A river runs through the village and woods stand behind the village. At the village, you could enjoy the folk singing and dancing of Dong, Yao, Miao and Zhuang. Buildings there are featured with high feet.
