What to expect at Taiziwan ParkLocated at the southwest corner of the West Lake, Taiziwan Park is well-known for the regular tulip show from late March to early April every year. During the period of time, thousands of tulips, sakura and Hyacinthus orientalis are in blossom, making for amazing views. Pink, yellow, purple, white and red tulips are very appealing while the snow white sakura on the tree looks like cloud and fog. In addition, you can see the Tokyo sakura in the park. You may see locals taking wedding photographs there.
Magnolia, sakura and Michelia figo grow on the hill. Wangshanping Grassland is a good spot to take a rest and enjoy picnic there. Locals love to hold weddings in the grassland as well. A small church adds a festive atmosphere to the park. Several bridges in different appearances span over streams in the park. Between late September and early November, leaves of some of the trees in the park turn yellow or golden. On sunny days, the red maple leaves with the reflection in the river are a feast for eyes, creating great material for photographing. |
