What is Qianling Park?

Located in the northwest of the Guiyang City and originally built in 1957, Qianling Park offers old trees, several mountains, wind and rain bridge, the old Hongfu Temple and an macaque monkey park to visitors to explore.

What to expect at Qianling Park

Qianling Park Situated 1.5 kilometers from the heart of Guiyang City, Qianling Park features a variety of attractions. In the macaque monkey park, more than 700 wild macaque monkeys. They walk, run and play freely in the park with no fear of visitors. If you are lucky enough, they will interactive with you happily. A zoo is located in the park too. Originally built in 1672, the Hongfu Temple stands on the top of the mountain, overlooking the panoramic view of the whole city. There are many cliff inscriptions near the temple. In addition, visitors also can explore the Qilin Cave. There is a huge stalactite which looks like a Qilin. More than 1,500 kinds of trees, flowers and more than 1,000 kinds of valuable herbs grows on the mountains. The park is also a home to various wild birds.
Best time to visit Qianling Park

If you’re planning to visit Qianling Park for photography purposes, the best time to visit is from April to October. If you want to view macaque monkeys, it is suggested you visit the park in the morning.

 

How to get to the Qianling Park

As Qianling Park is located in the Guiyang City, there are many buses to the park. Visitors can take Bus 1, Bus 2, Bus 10, Bus 12, Bus 13, Bus 16, Bus 22, Bus 23, Bus 33, Bus 41, Bus 51, Bus 53, Bus 66, Bus 71, Bus 72, Bus 77, Bus 209, Bus 217, Bus 226, Bus 227, Bus 228, Bus 235, Bus 238, Bus 248, Bus 311, Bus 314, Bus 602, and Bus 608 to the park.
