Located within a French building, the Precious Heritage Museum is run by Réhahn. The museum is composed of five rooms, covering a total area of around 500 square meters. Exhibits in the museum were collected by him through a 8-years-journey.

What to expect at the Precious Heritage Museum

The Precious Heritage Museum offers the fine art room, the exhibition hall of Northern Vietnam, the exhibition hall of Central and Southern Vietnam and a coffee room for visitors.
Through 8 years work, Réhahn has took photographs of 51 ethnic minorities of the 54 ones living in Vietnam, including those settling in the Central and Southern Vietnam where foreigners are not permitted to enter or it is very difficult for foreigners to get the permit. Hundreds of photos plus 60 costumes most of which were offered by local ethnic minorities tell the distinctive diversity of Vietnam.
In addition, the handicrafts donated by ethnic minorities are on display in the museum. The words introduce how Réhahn acquired the trust from the elders for the permit, the villages in Central and Southern Vietnam, how he got on with the villagers there and , and what he experienced during the 8-years-long journey, etc.
If you’d like to know more about the ethnic minorities, there are books written by Réhahn on sale in the museum. At the coffee room, you’ll also find exquisite handicrafts made by them. If interested, you could also purchase one or two.

How to get to Precious Heritage Museum

You could take a direct bus or train to Hoi An from Da Nang. And then walk to the museum. Alternatively, just rent a vehicle to the town from Da Nang directly.
