Longji Rice Terraces is composed of the Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces, Ping’an Zhuang Rice Terraces and Jinkeng Rice Terraces. Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces and Ping’an Zhuang Rice Terraces are home to Zhuang people for hundreds of years. Longji Zhuang Village in Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces features the most authentic culture to explore. You could see local people do their daily life in front of the houses. When you hike through the rice terraces, you may see locals doing farming activities as well. If luckily, you may see them cooking bamboo rice under the eave.
Longji Rice Terraces in November
It is a little cold in Longji Rice Terraces in November. Some of the rice terraces without any plants are bare in this month. Some of them are planted with small vegetable shoots. Rainfall in Longji in November is a little more than that in October.

Exploring the Longji Rice Terraces    
Ping’an Zhuang Rice Terraces is the most developed in Longji. Sometimes, the shuttle bus will be available to the Viewpoint of Nine Dragons and Five Tigers. Or you could rent a local vehicle to the viewpoint if you want to have your privacy. If you enjoy hiking, you could walk up to the viewpoint from Ping’an Parking Lot. It takes around 30 minutes walk. ​After the rain, views at the Viewpoint of Seven Stars with the Moon could be breathtaking with floating clouds around. You have to hike to the viewpoint from the Viewpoint of Nine Dragons and Five Tigers as there is no shuttle bus to the viewpoint from any other places. Hike through the rice terraces and discover the natural beauty with your feet, your eyes and your soul.
Jinkeng Rice Terraces is also mostly bare in November. However, if it is sunny, the Viewpoint of Music from the Paradise and the Viewpoint of Golden Buddha Peak feature the breathtaking sunrise and sunset respectively. Dazhai Village offers the cable car up to the Viewpoint of Golden Buddha Peak and down to the Dazhai Village Parking Lot. ​If the weather is too bad, it may be unavailable. You could find several Red Yao ethnic minority villages in Jinkeng. Buildings there are in a similar structure with those in Longji Zhuang and Ping’an Zhuang Villages. They have hanging high feet. It is suggested that you take an umbrella with you in case it rains during your visit in Longji Rice Terraces in November. If you want to experience more about the local life, you could stay overnight in Longji.
