Exploring the Longji Rice Terraces  
Longji Zhuang Rice Terraces in March doesn’t only offer beautiful rape flowers but also features an old village – Longji Zhuang Village to explore. You will find 5 old wooden houses all of which are more than 100 years old at the village. The oldest has a long history of more than 250 years. ​As few visitors explore the village, simple life there is seldom affected by the outside world. If you’d like to experience local life at the village, there are just a few hotels to stay overnight. You could enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. They offer local food, such as cooked bamboo chicken, cooked bamboo rice and organic vegetables.
Longji Zhuang Village
Ping’an Zhuang Rice Terraces has the most tourist facilities. In March, especially at the end March, most of the rice terraces there are filled with water. They look like hundreds of mirror on the mountain. After the rain, the rice terraces and Ping’an Village are sometimes hidden in fog. For some time, they appear with the moving of fog. It looks like a fairy land. You could take your camera or cellphone to take pictures of the amazing views after the rain. The Viewpoint of Seven Stars with the Moon has breathtaking views to enjoy as well in March. It will take some 40 minutes hike from the Viewpoint of Nine Dragons and Five Tigers to the Viewpoint of Seven Stars with the Moon if it is not rainy.
Ping’an Zhuang Village Terraces
Jinkeng Rice Terraces offers golden rape flowers in the rice terraces opposite the Viewpoint of Golden Buddha Peak in March. You could take a cable car from Dazhai Village to the viewpoint. It will be more meaningful to hike down to Dazhai Village. You could explore Tiantouzhai Village en route which stands at the top of the mountain. ​The Jinkeng Rice Terraces is home to Red Yao people. They always wear red outerwear. There are several small villages to explore. If you enjoy hiking, you could discover them with your feet. On sunny days, you could admire the sunrise at the Viewpoint of Music from Paradise and the sunset from the Viewpoint of Golden Buddha Peak.
