Kunming Flying Tigers Museum is located at No. 93, Tuodong Road, Panlong District, Kunming. Many cultural relics of Flying Tigers are on display at the museum. Flying Tigers was set up in 1941. Under the command of General Chennault, Flying Tigers played a vital role in the Anti-Japanese War.

Kunming Flying Tigers Museum offers the permanent exhibitions of Flying Tigers Spread Their Wings, Arduous Struggle – China Air Task Force, Embracing Victory – 14th Army Air Force, Hump Flight and Matterhorn Operation, Making Achievements with Joint Efforts and General Chennault of the Flying Tigers and Anna Chennault, A Friendly Mesenger of China and America.
At the museum, you will see many cultural relics of the Flying Tigers and some related documents, such as Naval Aviator Certificate with Raine’s ID photo, Naval Aviation Observer (Navigation) badge, Document of release from active duty of Raine, the contract of employment signed by Raine and CAMCO, copy of Chiang Kai-Shek’s order, China-Burma-India theatre patch, the silver star medal, China-Burma-India theatre bullion insignia, Merits and Virtue metal, Chinese pilot Al Chinn’s canteen, Lt J Nicholas’ flight officers’ sextant, D-12 Compass, Relector, Chinese pilot Al Chinn’s helmet, A-9 flight goggles, Bill Smith’s air force map (Bill Smith was a member of 322 Troop Carrier Squadron, 14th Air Force), instrument on U.S. Air Bomber, inspection flashlight used by American Army Air Force, blood chit with Tex Hill’s signature, gas masks of the Flying Tigers, a pair of vintage binoculars used by Signal-Corps., U.S. Army, kinfolks knife carried by Joseph Philip Vecchiarelli, pouch for a tool kit, TL-126 pliers, a theodolite, photo of Chennault with his autograph, some photos of Chinese pilots who joined the 14th Air Force, some pictures during the period of Anti-Japanese War and the life of General Chennault in the old age, etc.
