How many days in Hue?
Depending upon your specific interests and preferences would determine how many days in Hue and the surrounding areas. On average, most visitors would spend two (2) full days (non-transit days) in Hue with additional time in Hoi An (approx.3 x hours away) as well as Da Nang.
Generally, 4 – 5 x days is a perfect amount of time to explore Central Vietnam including Hoi An Ancient Town, Da Nang City and Hue Imperial City. This can be extended with time at the DMZ Zone and Caves around Hue.
Other visitors choose to extend their stay and visit the Bach Ma National Park or even travel up to Quang Binh before continuing north to Ninh Binh/Hanoi! If you only have time for a short visit, day tours are also available and popular!
