Originally built in 1885, Ho Chi Minh City Museum is a beautiful neo-classical gray-white building. The museum showcases the cultural relics of the Vietnamese Communist Party in different periods.
The 2-storey building features exhibits and pictures demonstrating all aspects of social life, economy, handicraft and industry in the past 200 years in Ho Chi Minh City, including bowls and other articles of daily use, ceramics, musical instruments, farming tools, traditional costumes, and the like. Visitors can even find imperial edicts in Chinese in the museum.
The exhibits on the second floor mainly focus on the achievements of Ho Chi Minh City in the fields of economic and cultural development in recent years. In addition, visitors can see bubble cars and statues. Some pictures and documentations reflect the Second World War. At the outdoor area, helicopters, tanks and other weapons used in the Vietnam War are placed.
