Located within the Tam Coc area, Hang Mua Peak offers a great chance to enjoy the panoramic views of Tam Coc. Also well-known as Mua Cave, if has two peaks on the top to explore. The peak is one of the most popular spots in Tam Coc among trekkers, hikers and backpackers from around the world.

What to expect at Hang Mua Peak
Hang Mua Peak offers 500 steps to hike up to one of the two viewpoints. The steps similar to those at Great Wall of China are a little steep. The sunrise on the peak is stunning. An old temple stands at Viewpoint 1 on the top. On the top, you’ll find a stone dragon on the rock at Viewpoint 2 overlooking Tam Coc.
If you have enough physical power after exploring the viewpoint where the temple is situated, you could hike up to the other viewpoint to appreciate the amazing rural views in the area from another direction.
Many visitors who have climbed up to the viewpoints on the peak think it is worth exploring the peak.

Best time to visit Hang Mua Peak
If you visit the peak for photography purposes, the best time to visit is at sunrise.

How to get to Hang Mua Peak
Unfortunately, there are no direct buses to the peak from Ninh Binh or Hanoi. But you could rent a motorbike or bicycle or a local taxi to the peak.

- Opening hours: 07:00 - 17:00

- The staff at the ticket office at the base of the peak usually let you to hike down not later than 16:00.
- Please wear hiking shoes to explore the peak.
- If it is rainy, it is not suggested to climb up the peak out of safety concerns as the steps could be a little slippery.
- Please take enough drinking water with you.
- There are several local restaurants at the foot of the peak for locals and tourists.
