If you would like to enjoy the highlights of Guilin with local culture during 2 days (48 hours) in Guilin, it is recommended that you explore Reed Flute Cave – the most beautiful cave in Guilin, Yao Mountain – the highest mountain offering the bird’s eye views of Guilin, Daxu Ancient Town with a long history of hundreds of years which features an old street lined with the old houses in the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1912) Dynasties, Zhengyang Walking Street – the busiest street in Guilin city, and Four Lakes Night Cruise offering the stunning night views on the first day in the City of Guilin.
 
On Day 2, you could explore Li River on a motorized bamboo rafting, visit Xiangong Hill to admire the bird’s eye view of the Li River, wander around West Street, appreciate the amazing sunset from Cuiping Hill and immerse yourself in Impression 3rd Sister Liu Show.

​If you are more interested to know some about the culture of local ethnic minorities than the nature, you could explore the Longji Rice Terraces – a home to Zhuang and Yao ethnic minorities for hundreds of years through hiking on Day 1 or Day 2. It just depends on your preferences.
