  • Guilin Location

Guilin lies in the northeast of Guangxi, bordering Hunan and Guilin in the north. The entire Guilin area is composed of Guilin City, Yangshuo, Longsheng where Longji Rice Terraces is situated, Lingchuan, Lipu, Guanyang, Yongfu, Quanzhou, Xing’an, Ziyuan, Pingle and Gongcheng.

 

Guilin is located around 470 kilometers northwest of Guangzhou. For reference, it takes approximately 2.5 hours from Guangzhou to Guilin and approximately 3.5 hours from Hongkong to Guilin by high-speed train.

Guilin features a subtropical monsoon climate. The climate is mild and the rainfall is abundant. Between April and June, there is always much rain in Guilin. Sometimes, flood attacks Guilin during the period of time.

​It is the hottest in July and August while the coldest in January and February. In winter, it is cold and it may rain a lot for long. Sometimes, it always rains for 7 days and even longer in winter.
