Located within the Seven Star Park scenic area, the Guihai Tablets Forest has around 220 tablets. The forest is composed of the cliff carvings in the Longyin Cave, and a exhibition building. What to expect at Guihai Tablets Forest
The oldest one in Guihai Tablets Forest was made in 894. There are around 130 tablets in the Song Dynasty (960 – 1279). The well-known “Yuanyou Dangji” describes the internal struggle of the ruling class in the late Northern Song Dynasty (960 – 1127). “Pingman Sanjiang Timing” records the historical facts that Di Qing and Yu Jing put down the revolt of Nong Zhigao against the court in the Song Dynasty. Tens of its kind of tablets present the historical facts. There are also pattern tablets to enjoy.
Longyin Cave offers the stone carvings from the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) to the Qing Dynasty. The tablets also introduce the related historical facts in the ancient times. Some of them spoke highly of the natural views in Guilin. The four types of the Chinese calligraphy are all carved in the tablets.
Old tablets and classical stone carvings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties collected from the well-known hills in Guilin City are well preserved in the exhibition building. In addition, stone lions, tigers originally for the tombs of the Jingjiang Princes, memorial gates in the Qing Dynasty and the tablets introducing some important facts such as school or government buildings are also part of the forest.

As Guihai Tablets Forest is located in the Seven Stars Park, you could take Bus 14, 214, 30, and Bus 204 to the Stop of Longyinqiao (龙隐桥站) or rent a vehicle to the gate of Seven Star Park near the forest.
