What is Fuli Old Town?
Situated around 8 kilometers from Yangshuo, Fuli Old Town lies at the norther bank of the Li River. The town offers tens of old houses in the Ming and Qing Dynasties but it is well known for its exquisite painting fans.

What to expect at Fuli Old Town
Fuli Old Town has three main streets, the Old Street, Xinglong Street and Lingbei Street. All of them connects with eighteen small alleys. The Old Street leads to Kuixinglou Old City Gate, Lingbei Street runs to Fulishi Gate close to the old wharf.
The Old Street is home to locals for hundreds of years. You can find old houses in the street. Although the structures are simple and decorations are not beautiful, cracks and moss on the wall show the old history.

Most of the residents in Xinglong Street are descendants of the merchants coming from Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan and Jiangxi while Lingbei Street is home to descendants of the craftsmen, artists, and employees from other places.
The worthy highlights in the town are painting fans and the Chinese paintings. Mo’s Painting Fan House enjoys a good reputation there. You can just pay a visit or experience the procedure of creating a painting fan special for you with the help of Mr. Mo.
There are three famous pavilions in Fuli Old Town. Longmu Pavilion is a single arch structure. At one end of the pavilion are Mazu Temple and Zhongxiao Temple. Walk along the small alley where the two temples are located and Kuixinglou Pavilion appears into the sight. It Stands on the stone arched gate. A tablet nearby introduces the reconstruction in 1948. Daguang Pavilion has eight angles on the eave and is supported by eight pillars. The stairs to the second floor offer tourists a chance to enjoy the natural views near the Li River.

How to get to Fuli Old Town
There are direct buses from Yangshuo North Bus Station to the town. Alternatively, you can rent a vehicle.
