Details: Pre-Tour Arrive into Guiyang the day before your tour is scheduled to begin or alternatively, activities/itinerary/day order can be changed to reflect your arrival time. Day 1 Depart from Guiyang in the morning and travel approximately 2 hours to the Huangguoshu Waterfalls. The Huangguoshu Waterfalls are some of the largest waterfalls in China and East Asia with the main waterfall being 67 metres high. It’s a good place to visit for a day tour and aside from the main falls, there are also others and a number of different tracks within the park. In the afternoon, return to Guiyang and explore the city at your leisure or with your tour guide during the afternoon. Day 2 Meet your tour guide in the morning and begin the day by departing Guiyang and visiting the Shiqiao Miao Ethnic Minority Village as a stopover. After visiting Shiqiao, continue traveling towards the 2,000 year old river town known as Zhenyuan Old Town. This famous Miao ethnic minority town is located east of Kaili. At Zhenyuan, explore the ancient town and surroundings including the Wuyang River and Qinglong Cave. The visit to Zhenyuan Old Town will take most of the remainder of the day. Stay overnight in Zhenyuan Old Town. Day 3 Enjoy the streets of Zhenyuan Old Town in the morning before departing and driving towards the Dong and Miao ethnic minority regions. In the evening, transfer to Leishan and stay overnight in Leishan. Day 4 Today, after departing from Leishan, you will travel from Leishan to Congjiang along the S308 road. Along this route, you will pass through a large number of different minority villages, markets and other experiences of daily life in South-Western Guizhou Province. There are a number of Miao ethnic minority villages along this road and you’re welcome to stopover at different markets, towns, villages, festivals (date dependent) and other destinations along the way. Thereafter, visit the Miao ethnic minority village of Basha. This village is particularly unique in the sense that it’s the largest village within China that’s permitted to have guns. Full of wooden houses and a nearby river, Basha introduces visitors to the traditional culture and is an interesting village, different from most within Guizhou Province. After visiting Basha, stopover at the off-the-beaten track villages of Huanggang and Bapa before staying overnight in Zhaoxing. Day 5 During the morning, drive to Zhaoxing, which is the largest Dong Ethnic Minority Village in Guizhou Province. Explore the village during the day before continuing towards Sanjiang. Either choose to hike up to Jitang Village and thereafter to Tang'an, or drive to the Tang’an Dong Ethnic Minority Village which is a scenic little village located in the hills. In the afternoon, visit the Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, which is one of the most famous landmarks in Guangxi Province and an example of one of the many Dong ethnic minority bridges in the region. Afterwards travel to Sanjiang where you will stay overnight. Day 6 Meet your guide in the morning and visit the Sanjiang Drum Tower, an iconic landmark in Sanjiang's central square. At the end of the cycling experience, board your own private raft and flow down the Yulong River whilst a paddler on the back of the raft slowly pushes you along the river on the bamboo raft. In the evening, enjoy a stroll along West Street with some dinner before watching the famous Impression 3rd Sister Liu Show which is held on the banks of the Li River during the evening. Stay overnight in Yangshuo. Day 9 Begin the morning with a Private Taichi class held by one of the local Taichi masters based in Yangshuo.
