Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park is located around 300 meters south of Zhengyang Walking Street. It is well-known for the Sun & Moon Pagodas. ​At night, the copper Sun Pagoda always gives out golden light while the Moon Pagoda is in silver light, which makes for a great view. You could explore the stunning view by walking along the Shanhu Lake where the two pagodas stand in. The Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park has no entrance fees and is a great evening experience in Guilin City.

With a long history of more than 1,000 years, Zhengyang Walking Street is situated in the center of Guilin City. It is a paradise for shopping lovers and foodies. On the street, you will find different types of shops, including local specialty stores, bars, cafés, Western and Chinese restaurants, handicrafts stalls on the end of the street which is located near the gate of Lijiang Waterfall Hotel. There are a number of clothing and other stores offering an insight into the local culture of Guilin. The best time to visit Zhengyang Walking Street is at night and of course it’s free!

3. Seven Star Park (before & after certain times!)
Seven Star Park is the oldest and the largest comprehensive park in the City of Guilin. It is fusion of natural beauty, old culture and history and old buildings. From the months of March through to November, it is free to enter the park before 06:00 (6:00 am) and after 19:30 (7:30 pm). ​Between the months of December to February, it is free to enter the park before 06:30 (6:30 am) and after 19:00 (7:00 pm). Many local elders enjoy themselves in the park through singing, dancing, doing Tai Chi or playing local card or Chinese chess. There are many other charged activities in the park, such as easy rock-climbing for the children, walking on the rope net tied to the trees which is around 2 meters above the ground!

4. Xiaoyao Tower  in Guilin
The Xiaoyao Tower in Guilin stands on the west bank of the Li River, close to East West Alley. The tower was originally built in the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907). It was renovated several times in different dynasties. Unfortunately, the original one was destroyed in 1841. In 2016, the local government rebuilt the tower based upon the recorded layout in the historical materials. ​On the first floor, the models of the tower in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties are on display. You will find the differences between them. It also offers reliefs to enjoy. The best time to explore the tower is at night. At night, the tower is in the golden light. When you stand on the first floor, you could appreciate the breathtaking night views along the Liberation Bridge.
