Erhai Park - the largest comprehensive park within Dali
Located at the south bank of Erhai Lake, Erhai Park is the largest comprehensive park in Dali City. It covers an area of 57.6 hectares. The park was formerly called Tuanshan Park. The former name of Tuanshan came from an oval-shaped hill.

What to expect at Erhai Park
Bohai Park consists of a corridor in Erhai Lake, a swimming pool, a zoo, a botanical garden, a fishing spot and a playground. You could admire the beauty of Erhai Lake on the corridor, swim like a fish in the swimming pool in summer, study the plants in the botanical garden or just enjoy the entertainment facilities in the playground.
Tuanshan Hill offers a viewpoint to appreciate the landscape of the lake. You just need to hike up 278 steps to the top of the hill where you will also find a small tea garden. On fine days, you will be amazed at the views of the lake and the panoramic views of Dali City from the top of the hill – the blue sky, the clear surface and the green forest.
Best time to visit Erhai Park
If you are planning to visit Erhai Park for photography purposes, the best time to visit is at noon on fine days as the sky is much bluer at that time.
The best months to visit are from April to October.
How to get to Erhai Park
You could take Bus 22 to the Stop of Erhai Park or Bus 16 or Bus 10 to the Stop of Longshan Hotel (龙山酒店). Then walk to the park. Otherwise, you could just rent a vehicle to the park.
