Spanning over the River Han for around 666 meters, Dragon Bridge is acclaimed as the largest dragon-shaped bridge in the world. There are more than 2,500 LED lamps on the dragon. At night, the lamps give out colorful lights to make for amazing views.
What to expect at Dragon Bridge Vietnam
Originally built in 2009 and complemented in 2012, Dragon Bridge is one of the new landmarks in Da Nang. It connects the center of Da Nang, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son. It is also the only axis currently constructed with a single steel arch bridge in Southeast Asia.
The giant dragon penetrates the bridge piers and the main body of the bridge. At night, the LED lamps on the dragon give out golden, blue, red and purple lights, creating stunning views. On the evening of Saturdays and Sundays, the dragon always spits fire and spray water from the mouth at 21:00. It lasts for around 10 minutes. During the period of time, locals and tourists gather on the bridge to enjoy the show. It is usually crowded on the evening of Saturdays and Sundays on the bridge. Thus, if you would like to admire the gorgeous views, it is recommended that you get to the bridge as early as possible to take up good space.
