What to expect at Da Nang
Da Nang features My Son Sanctuary dating back to 500. It was the product of Champa Kingdoms from the 4th Century to the 14th Century. As a World Heritage Site, My Son Sanctuary offers a great chance to those who have strong interest in Champa.
Originally built in 1915, the Cham Museum is also a good spot to get acquainted with Champa. You’ll find tens of Cham sculptures in the museum. Many of them are found in My Son Sanctuary.
If you are adventurous, you could explore Marble Mountains. It stands close to the coastline in the southeast of Da Nang City. It is composed of five mountains, which stand for Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth respectively. It offers amazing views as well as Buddha statues in the cave on the mountain.
Situated in Son Tra Penninsula, Linh Ung Buddhist Temple is a good spot overlooking the panoramic views of Da Nang. The statue of Bodhisattva is nearly 70 meters tall. The statue is hollow so that visitors could enter into it and get to the top to appreciate the breathtaking views around.
If you are planning to visit Da Nang in summer, it is suggested to pay a visit to Ba Na Hill. It is a summer resort in the city. In addition, you could enjoy yourself on the rides there. As the largest dragon-shaped bridge, Dragon Bridge is also one of the highlights in Da Nang.
