The Detian Waterfalls are a large set of waterfalls located in Guangxi Province on the border of China and Vietnam. The falls lie on the Chinese sides of the border with the official name of the dual waterfalls being the Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfalls.
With drops of up to 70 meters, the falls are a popular day for visitors traveling from Nanning. From Nanning, it takes approximately 3 hours to travel to the Detian Waterfalls and visitors can either choose to stay overnight in and around this area (there are some nearby attractions to visit) or simply return to Nanning after visiting.
Whilst visitors enjoy traveling to the Detian Waterfalls throughout the year, the Detian Waterfalls are at their most spectacular during 'wet' season. Therefore, if you have a choice for when to visit - any time between July - November is usually the best time of year, depending upon rainfall.
Yes! The Detian Waterfalls are located near a few different attractions that visitors enjoy traveling to including:
- Mingshi Scenic Area
- Tongling Grand Canyon
- Rock Paintings of Hua Mountain
Currently, we run an extended multi-day tour to some of the attractions around Nanning including the Detian Waterfalls.
