Cormorant Fishing is a traditional fishing practice whereby the fisherman uses Cormorant birds to catch fish. To ensure the birds don't swallow the fish, the fisherman ties a piece of string at the base of the bird's neck so only very small fish are swallowed. After catching the fish, the fisherman then brings the bird back and has the bird spit up the fish.
