The Jolie Vue Boutique Hotel is located right opposite the most famous Guilin city landmark – Elephant trunk Hill right next to the beautiful Li River. The hotel was renovated in 2017, so the facilities are very good with comfortable rooms. With the stunning views from the roof top restaurant and excellent services within the hotel, it makes a fantastic choice for both Chinese and Foreigners who travel to Guilin.
The Jolie Vue Boutique Hotel is less than 5 x minutes walking distance from the famous Sun & Moon pagodas and Zhengyang Walking Street. Moreover, it’s approximately 10 x minutes by taxi from Guilin Train Station, 40 x minutes by car from Guilin North/West train Station and 50 x minutes from Guilin Liangjiang Airport. The hotel also offers complimentary Airport/train station pick up service for hotel guests. However, you would need to contact the hotel at least 24 x hours in advance and the pickup service hours are normally from 8am to 10pm.

Located right next to the Sun and Moon pagodas at the Guilin Four Scenic Spot in the city centre, the Li River Secluded Hotel features a luxurious lake view balcony suite, family room, deluxe double rooms etc. It is a boutique resort that mixes the ancient Southern China and modern China architectural art – creating a Zen and elegant space.
As the Li River Secluded Hotel only opened in 2018, all the facilities are new and the beds are very comfortable. There are lots of options for breakfast but some of our western clients found it’s too Chinese-flavored for them.

Located with walking distance from the back gate of Seven Star Park in Guilin, the Zen Tea House is a very nice bed & breakfast option for those travelers who are looking for a more personalized service with reasonable pricing during their stay in Guilin.
It takes approximately 15 x minutes by taxi to get to Guilin Clock Tower and Zhengyang Walking Street within the city center, 50 x minutes from Guilin Liangjiang Airport and 30 x minutes by taxi from Guilin North Train Station. There’s also one of the best Guilin Rice Noodles shop – LaoDongjiang Guilin Noodles within only 2 x minutes walking distance from the Zen Tea House Seven Star Park Hotel.

Just like its name, the Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel is a unique hotel hidden within Lujiacun village on the banks of the Peach Blossom River in Guilin. Infused with northern Guilin style architectural elements, the setting of the hotel offers a very cozy and peaceful environment. It is approximately 20 x minutes driving distance to Guilin City Center and walking distance to the famous Reed Flute Cave.
The Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel is also approximately 30 x minutes drive from Guilin Liangjiang Airport and approximately 40 x minutes drive from Guilin North/Guilin West Train Stations. The breakfast options can be both Chinese and Western style. The Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel has been rated as one of the best value hotels in Guilin, if you are not looking for a centrally located hotel during your stay in Guilin.

Located opposite the Banyan Lake at the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Spot, the Aroma Tea House (formerly named Jingguan MingLou Hotel) first opened in 2008 and it’s less than 10 x minutes’ walking distance to the city center area. With a range of Chinese antiques, art galleries, porcelain & calligraphy collections, the museum within the Aroma Tea House is a highlight in itself.
The Aroma Tea House hotel staff are very friendly and speak good English. There’s also normally a free city lakes walking tour available at the hotel if you book in advance/when checking into the hotel. Overall, the Aroma Tea House Hotel offers personalized service in a great location but some of our clients mentioned the rooms are a bit outdated and the breakfast option can be limited for some.

The Guilin Yi Royal Palace is located inside the Guilin Botanical Gardens next to Lianda Shopping Mall. It’s approximately 30 x minutes’ drive from Guilin Liangjiang Airport and approximately 15 x minutes by taxi from the city center. From Guilin City Train/Bus Station, it takes less than 10 x minutes to drive to Guilin Yi Royal Palace.
The hotel has the reputation of being a “relaxing green oasis” in Guilin City due to its nice traditional Chinese Garden setting and lovely outdoor pool. You can not drive any vehicle to the hotel and all hotels guests have to take the electric golf cart from the entrance of the Botanic Garden to the Guilin Yi Royal Palace when checking into the hotel. Some of our guests mentioned the room itself is a bit old and the bed mattresses are firm.

The Guilin Heshe Holiday is located next to the Reed Flute Cave close to the Peach Blossom River (Taohua jiang River). The hotel is surrounded by mountains and waters, with ancient trees facing the window, hidden in the lake and mountains, blending in with nature.
The Guilin Heshe Holiday Hotel has more than 20 x rooms, and you can also find nice family rooms here, mainly in the style of “traditional Chinese & Zen spirits”. The rooms are all fairly spacious and bright whilst the hotel staff are normally friendly and helpful. The only negative feedback from our clients is their breakfast is a Chinese style breakfast as opposed to Western breakfast.

Opened in 2015 and located at Lujiacun Village by the Peach Blossm River, the Moonflower Hotel is a small boutique hotel with comfortable, clean rooms and normally good value for money. There are many good restaurants next to the Moonflower Hotel in Lujiacun Village and hotel staff speak good English. The Reed Flute Cave is located approximately 10 x minute’s walk away whilst it takes approximately 20 x minutes to drive to Guilin City Center.
From our experience, we suggest hotel guests to write down the Chinese name of the hotel as well as the phone number to avoid getting lost in taxis! From the feedback of our clients, the breakfast of this hotel is basic and the temperature of the water is not stable when taking shower. Also, there’s no lift at the hotel so you would need to carry your luggage to your room up stairs.
