​Located around 250 kilometers west of Nanning, Bama Longevity Village has the largest number of the elder more than 100 years old in the world. The village is situated in the mountainous area with fresh air, clean water and green environment.

What to expect at Bama Longevity Village

Bama Longevity Village is well-known for the number of the elder more than 100 years old. Panyang River runs by the village. A tablet in front of the house tells the age and birth date of those who are more than 100 years old and live in the house. Nowadays, they are very popular among tourists but they can just speak local language but not the Chinese. If you are interested to know something about how they live so long from them, you’d need to offer a red packet containing money to them according to the local tradition. Some Chinese people even rent a house at or near the village to live for long or spend winter there.

Local people just eat food with low salt, low sugar, low fat, low animal protein and they eat little meat. Geomagnetism in the village is as high as 0.58 Gauss, which benefit the body a great. Baimo Cave is that kind of cave with high geomagnetism. Before, the cave was a cemetery. But it has been transformed an attraction opened to tourists to experience the high geomagnetism since 2007.

You could take a direct bus from Nanning to the Village or just rent a vehicle to the village.
