What to expect in Bajiaozhai National Park
Visitors to Bajiaozhai National Park are shocked at the unique peaks with Danxia landforms throughout the park. On fine days, clear sky, white clouds, green trees and the peaks form an attractive picture; on foggy days, the peaks look as if hundreds of dolphins swam in the sea. In addition, there are countless wildlife and rare vegetation surviving in the park.
It is also a paradise for bird or wildlife-watching. Aside from the natural beauty, the Yuntai Temple (云台寺) originally built in the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127) stands on the top of Yuntai Peak, overlooking the appealing park in the northeast of the Guilin Area for nearly one thousand years. Baijiaozhai offers a completely different type of landscape from the karst landscape along the Li River which winds through Guilin City to Yangshuo. |
